One dead, 5 injured after building collapsed in Bhiwandi

During the rescue operation, one NDRF team member also suffered minor injuries on his hand. Eknath Shinde , PWD Minister visited IGM hospital in Bhiwandi to meet the injured. Ashok Rankhamb , commissioner of Bhiwandi-Nizampura Municiapal Corporation said, "The building was illegally constructed on forest land and notice was served by civic body". He was residing with his wife on first floor based apartment.Total seven flats and one shop were inside the building out of which two flats were vacant.
