Ensure privacy in interconnected devices, says German expert

Dr. Sikora is from the Institute of Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication Electronics (ivESK), Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITM-K) here, Dr. Sikora dwelt on some of the challenging research issues of prime focus such as achieving full interoperability between interconnected devices. “There is a necessity to provide an efficient network architecture that helps develop many scalable, interoperable and predictable IoT applications,” said a press note quoting Dr. Sikora. The talk, which focused on the immense potential of the Internet of Things (IoT), was organised recently in association with IEEE Communications Society,Kerala Chapter,and ACM Trivandrum Professional Chapter. He highlighted the application potential of IoT in diverse fields such as automotive and telemetry, industrial and process automation and home and building automation.
