THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has allotted Rs 114.08 crore as first installment of general purpose fund to local bodies for 2018-19.Gram panchayats will receive Rs 81.4 crore as first installment of general purpose fund. Municipalities and municipal corporations will receive Rs 14.14 crore and 9.8 crore as first installment of General purpose fund respectively.The state government has allocated Rs 1426.71crore as general purpose fund for local bodies in Kerala for the fiscal 2018-19.This fund is disbursed in monthly installments to the special treasury savings bank account of local bodies. An amount of Rs 5.08 crore shall be allotted to block panchayats and district panchayats will get Rs 3.5 crore as first installment.
