Employees who were at the workshop were evacuated from the area in quick time. The fire broke out in the area where discards from tyres were usually collected. The fire was doused within one-and-a-half hours, following which officials conducted an inspection to determine the cause of the fire.

Five fire tenders were pressed into service from various fire stations. The fire was doused within one-and-a-half hours, following which officials conducted an inspection to determine the cause of the fire.
