THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The class XII student of St Thomas Central School, Mukkolakkal involved in hugging row comes out with flying colours in the CBSE senior school certificate examination results declared on Saturday. The student scored 91.2% marks in the examination.The student was issued compulsory transfer certificate from the school for hugging a junior girl student of class XI inside the school campus in 2017. The school authorities also claimed that the students published their obnoxious photographs in social media. The girl student was expelled, as she had not completed the admission process for class XI at the school.While, students said it was congratulatory a hug and photographs were taken in a party in presence of their parents, the school authorities alleged that the students violated the discipline of the school.Later, with the intervention of people's representative, the St Thomas School management and parents of the students signed an agreement to allow the students to appear for the examination.The school authorities permitted the boy to appear for board examination and the girl was asked to submit transfer certificate to complete the admission process at school."I am happy with the results. My parents and teachers helped me to study. I hope to become a lawyer," said the boy.
