Thiruvananthapuram: A photograph published in TOI on Monday has been picked up by the Kerala Police to be shared through its social media handles.The photograph shows a dog crossing the road through the zebra line near Secretariat while the traffic signal is ready for pedestrians. The third prize worth Rs 1,000 will be given to three winners. State police chief Loknath Behera will give away prizes to winners next week. While the dog is using the zebra line meant for pedestrians, a person is seen walking outside the designated crossing track.The official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages of the Kerala Police have published the photograph seeking interesting captions, with a comment that the picture portrays our traffic culture.While many commented that let the general consciousness of the society regarding observing and following the traffic rules wake up seeing the dog, many others said vehicles do not stop even when the traffic signal is green for pedestrians.The Times of India has announced prizes for the best captions picked by the police.
