Though the Corporation’s 16 collection counters were scheduled to be opened only on Sunday, individuals and various organisations started bringing in material to the round-the-clock control room functioning at the local body’s main office. Mayor’s call The Mayor has requested the public to bring in drinking water, rice, green gram, biscuit, bedsheet, towel, sanitary napkins, undergarments, nighties and lungi. Those who are bringing in food items should take care to bring items that will not get spoilt fast.
