No darshan at Sabarimala during Onam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore Devaswom Board has urged all the devotees to avoid darshan at Sabarimala during the Onam days . Even though several devotees had come to trek the holy path, they were blocked at Pampa by the police. All the regular poojas will be held in these days.The darshan to the hill shrine was also banned during the first day of Chingam due to floods. The TDB has asked all the devotees from all the states across the country to obey the High Court ruling and avoid travelling to Sabarimala.The temple will open for Poojas on August 23 and will close on August 28. The Kerala high court has asked the board authorities not to allow the devotees to trek the hill shrine since the conditions on the banks of Pampa is not safe.Hence the board has now issued a statement making it clear that no devotees will be allowed to have darshan at Sabarimala during five days when the temple will be opened for Onam poojas.The board authorities said that several routes to Sabarimala are still damaged and the bridges have to be restored for making a smooth travel to the hill shrine.
