P.Balakiran, Director of tourism, will be holding the additional charge of CEO, Smart City. Changes were made at the helm of the Smart City Special Purpose Vehicle last year too. Meanwhile, the long pending issue of lack of important technical and managerial staff in the Smart City project management consultant IPE Global Private Limited’s team here has been resolved, with the appointment of the Chief Financial Officer, General Manager, Project Manager and Team Leader of the consultant. The consultancy has till now submitted tender documents for four fast-track projects to the Corporation. It failed to submit the tender documents for all the eleven fast-track projects by the earlier deadline of August 31. It has to submit the documents for seven more projects before the new deadline of Saturday evening.
