Sathasivam planting a tamarind sapling on the campus. On the occasion, Mr. Sathasivam called upon the public and the staff of Raj Bhavan to observe the green protocol and adopt scientific modes of waste management. He said the key solution to various problems including spread of communicable diseases, especially in the post-flood scenario, was proper waste management in public places as well as in households. Ensuring a clean environment amounted to a strong fight against pollution, which, he said, was a silent killer. The Governor also exhorted the staff members to utilise their homesteads for organic vegetable cultivation.
