Governor’s call to work for cleanliness

Raj Bhavan observed Swachhata Hi Sewa on Monday with Governor P. Sathasivam planting a tamarind sapling on the campus. On the occasion, Mr. Sathasivam called upon the public and the staff of Raj Bhavan to observe the green protocol and adopt scientific modes of waste management. The Governor also exhorted the staff members to utilise their homesteads for organic vegetable cultivation. Ensuring a clean environment amounted to a strong fight against pollution, which, he said, was a silent killer.
