Prashant inaugurated the construction work of a foot overbridge in front of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School at Pattom on Monday. The work is expected to be completed within 45 days. The project will be executed under a public-private partnership between the city Corporation and Sun Infrastructure Private Limited. Major Archbishop of Thiruvananthapuram (Syro-Malankara Church) Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis Catholicos has said he will present a gift to the Mayor and the company’s managing director if the work is completed as per schedule. The company will bear the cost of construction and maintenance of the foot overbridge. It will generate revenue from advertisement rights on the foot overbridge. The overbridge will have poly carbonate roofing and aluminium composite panel pillars. The school authorities will take up the onus of beautifying the overbridge.
