17-year-old killed as bike collides with bus

Thiruvananthapuram: A 17-year-old youth was killed after the two wheeler he was riding collided head on with a tourist bus at Alamcode near Attingal outside the city on Sunday. Aneesh, son of Satheeshan (late) and Noubiba of Shanu Manzil, Chappathumukku, Chathanpara near Alamcode under Attingal police station limits is the deceased. Aneesh was riding in his motorcycle towards Attingal direction and the bus was going in the Kilimanoor direction, when both vehicles collided head on with each other. He was a class 12 student pursuing education in a parallel college at Alamcode.According to the police, the accident occurred around 9.30am on the road along Alamcode – Kilimanoor route. Even though Aneesh was rushed to hospital by onlookers, the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The exact circumstances under which the accident occurred was yet to be known, the police said.The police have registered a case in connection with the incident. The driver of the bus was booked under sections 304A and 279 of IPC that pertain to causing death due to negligence and rash driving respectively.Besides mother, Aneesh leaves behind brother Arun and sister Aswathy.The police said, quoting his close relatives, that it was in May this year, his mother bought him the motorcycle.Aneesh’s body was released to the family after conducting post-mortem examination at Medical College Hospital.
