#MeToo: NSUI leader 'sought sexual favours in exchange for political posts’

Though she didn't name anyone, an anonymous handle narrated a harassment in the comment section of the blog and named Gouridasan Nair as the predator in both incidents. ''She had acquainted the senior journalist while working on a media centre assignment after her MCJ course. ''The string of events began last week when New Delhi-based journalist Yamini Nair alleged in her blog that "a senior journalist from Thiruvananthapuram had harassed her in 2005 while she was working in Chennai as a cub journalist. I had requested my organization over the past few days to relieve me of my charge and proceed on leave... If in my past, I have caused hurt to anyone with my words or inadvertent actions, I apologize to them from the bottom of my heart", Gouridasan Nair wrote in a Facebook post which was shared among his friends.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran journalist and resident editor of The Hindu in Kerala, C Gouridasan Nair, was relieved of his official responsibilities after his name cropped up in #MeToo allegations.The Hindu Publishing Group chairman N Ram tweeted on Tuesday, "this senior journalist (Gouridasan Nair) who was not formally named decided not to dig in - but called it a day. He responded immediately, expressing deep pain & dismay over the allegation and explaining how he viewed the matter. Then he decided to call it a day, unlike many others.""Friends, I am coming to the end of my innings as a professional journalist. I had requested my organization over the past few days to relieve me of my charge and proceed on leave... If in my past, I have caused hurt to anyone with my words or inadvertent actions, I apologize to them from the bottom of my heart", Gouridasan Nair wrote in a Facebook post which was shared among his friends.
