Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Tuesday the CPM was not involved in the recent killing of two youths in Kasaragod and that it does not support any kind of violence.Speaking to reporters, he said that the police have been asked to conduct a speedy and impartial probe into the incident, but remained non-committal on whether he would visit the houses of the murdered youths.Echoing the statements made by CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Monday, the chief minister said not even novices who are learning the ropes of politics will commit such acts. “At a time when the CPM is organizing party yatras ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, will anyone with minimum political literacy indulge in such a crime,” Vijayan asked.He said that the stance of the party has been conveyed by the party secretary, and the best that the government can do is to take stringent action against the culprits.
