Peddler from Odisha arrested with 1kg ganja

Thiruvananthapuram: Kadinamkulam police recorded the arrest of a migrant resident who was involved in illicit sales of drugs across the coastal areas of the city, on Saturday. “We arrested him from Paruthiyela nearby Channankara, Kadinamkulam on Saturday morning at around 10am following a tip-off received by Rural SP B Asokan. Around 1kg ganja brought from other states for sale in the city was seized from him.According to police, Kaviraj followed a modus operandi of acquiring the stuff from other states and focused his sales in the coastal areas. The detainee has been identified as Odisha native Kaviraj Bhagawan (27). He will be produced in the court,” an officer said.The team led by Kadinamkulam circle-inspector Rajesh P S, comprising sub-inspector Sijin Mathew and CPO Raju and Suresh Kumar made the arrest.
