Idukki: Nearly 50 families, who stay at an old building of the KSEB in Cheruthoni after the devastating floods destroyed their homes seven months ago, still await the compensation promised by the state government.With another parliament election round the corner, they have decided to give a befitting reply to the state government through their votes.Puthenpurakal Benny Varghese (49) from Perumkala, who stays at the relief camp said, “Our home was partially destroyed. Our church provided six scents to construct a home. We expected the compensation before the declaration of Lok Sabha elections, but nothing happened.
