Thiruvananthapuram: Reigning champions Mar Ivanios College , Nalanchira, has retained the Kerala University Youth Festival championship by securing 155 points. University College finished second with 142 points while a late flurry of points by Government Women’s College saw them finish just two points behind University College with 140 points.Vishnuram S S of S N College of Advanced Studies, Chempazhanthy, won the Kalaprathiba award with 26 points and Krishna Ajith of Mar Ivanios was crowned the Kalathilakam with 30 points.Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the valedictory function and handed over the individual trophies while minister Kadakampally Surendran handed over team prizes on Saturday during a ceremony held at Kerala University Campus, Kariyavattom.
