Hands-on training in critical care to take on Covid-19 pandemic

SVIDYANANDAN ByExpress News ServiceTHIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Soon, Thiruvananthapuram will have the largest team of health workers in the state trained in intensive care for Covid-19 patients. The programme has two phases - first ICU management in general and second, critical care for Covid-19 patients. In the first phase, the participants are given hands-on training in critical care. There are classes on the safety protocol for health workers like wearing the personal protective equipment. The first phase is led by doctors of the General Hospital and second phase by MCH doctors.
