A newly married woman was found dead in Muthana, a village near Kallambalam in Kerala on Sunday. The 24-year-old woman`s got married nearly a month ago. 

The deceased woman was identified as Athira and her husband was identified as Sarath. Sarath, who works out of the country, came to Kerala on leave for his wedding to Athira. 

On Friday, Sarath took his father to the hospital in the Kollam district and left her at home.

Athira called her mother but her mother could not find her when she reached the couple`s home. When the husband returned from the hospital, he noticed that the washroom of the house had been locked from the inside. Following this, Sarath broke open the door and found his wife`s dead body inside the washroom. 

"The cause of death is not known yet. We have just begun the investigation. The preliminary assumption is that it’s a case of death by suicide." as reported by media professionals.

 
After being alerted, the cops sent the body to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. As per the cops, a probe will be launched into the case and the post-mortem will also be conducted
