Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 21 (PTI) Dr AP James, Associate Dean (Academic) of Digital University Kerala, has been chosen for the Best Associate Editor award by a global research journal.The academic was selected for the recognition of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems 1: Regular Papers (TCAS-I), by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (IEEE CASS) for the year 2020-21, a DUK statement said here.IEEE CASS is the leading organization that promotes the advancement of the theory, analysis, design, tools, and implementation of circuits and systems.As per the statement, the award is given for contributions in managing and delivering timely reviews, and accurate decisions for TCAS-I in maintaining high standards and quality. He has been an associate editor for the journal since 2017, it said.The TCAS-I is the flagship journal of IEEE CASS and is considered the top journal for publishing highly impactful research works covering areas related to integrated circuits and systems.The editorial board brings together 61 outstanding researchers and experts in the field of integrated circuits and systems from 20 countries and 59 institutions worldwide.Among them are 6 members from the industry, 6 female professionals, and 7 IEEE fellows. The award was handed over by Prof. Weisheng Zhao (IEEE Fellow) who is currently editor-in-chief for TCAS1.Last year, Dr Alex James, professor with a research specialization in the area of AI hardware, Neuromorphic VLSI, Intelligent Imaging and Machine Learning, and Analog Electronics, was featured in Stanford University’s list of the top 2% scientists in the world., the statement added.
