more-in Governor P. Sathasivam flagged off the Digi Gaon Yatra of the Mobile Science Exploratory of the P.N. Panicker Foundation at Raj Bhavan here on Friday. “Digi Gaon Yatra should convince villagers, farmers, and small traders about the advantages of going digital. Digital literacy should enable community participation for overall economic and social development, popularise the concept of a less cash economy and strengthen the knowledge society that we are building in India,” Mr. Sathasivam, said flagging off the yatra. He said the Digi Gaon Yatra should ensure follow-up action on people’s use of technology for lasting results. The Mobile Science Exploratory, funded by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology to spread the message of social development through science and technology, is fitted with science equipment, digital library devices, telemedicine facilities, and so on. The Governor also took a look at the digital facilities in the laboratory and evaluated them.
