Attack on hospital: Four held

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Vishnu, 21, Gourishankar, 21, Rahul, 19, and Aneesh, 19, of Maruthoorkadavu. Four youths have been arrested by the Fort police in connection with the alleged attack on the Attukal Devi Hospital at Manacaud and the manhandling of its staff recently. Equipment and furniture to the tune of ?5 lakh had been damaged in the incident, it was alleged. The police added that at least 10 more persons remained to be apprehended in connection with the case. They were remanded in judicial custody after being produced in a local court.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Vishnu, 21, Gourishankar, 21, Rahul, 19, and Aneesh, 19, of Maruthoorkadavu.

They were remanded in judicial custody after being produced in a local court.

The police added that at least 10 more persons remained to be apprehended in connection with the case. Efforts were on to identify their whereabouts.

Six attacked

As many as six hospital employees, including the superintendent, were allegedly assaulted by the gang as they were denied entry into the area where their friend, who had been injured in an accident, was being attended to.

Equipment and furniture to the tune of ?5 lakh had been damaged in the incident, it was alleged.
