All should think whether we need to run such a disgraceful government. “There was no single ministerial berth given to Muslims in Jayalalithaa cabinet in 2001-2006. But in 2006, Kalaignar allotted two cabinets to Muslims. Even though we are not in power, people are respecting us. “Kalaignar too won’t have toppled the present government because he has faith in the democracy,” said Stalin.Stalin alleged that all the MLAs of the ruling party were receiving up to Rs 10 crore bribe every month.

Trichy: DMK working president M K Stalin has said that his party won’t be inclined to topple the ruling AIADMK government in the state and capture power to run a shameless regime by bribing the MLAs.“For the sake of argument, if we buy 10 MLAs from AIADMK, we should bribe them every month as the present ministers are doing. All should think whether we need to run such a disgraceful government. Even though we are not in power, people are respecting us. So, we will go in a democratic manner,” said Stalin at the consultative meeting of minorities’ wing of DMK at Kalaignar Arivalayam here on Thursday evening. He also recalled how the DMK government led by M Karunanidhi was dissolved by the Congress government headed by Indira Gandhi in 1976. “Kalaignar too won’t have toppled the present government because he has faith in the democracy,” said Stalin.Stalin alleged that all the MLAs of the ruling party were receiving up to Rs 10 crore bribe every month. “All the ministers and chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami will be in jail for indulging in corruption when DMK comes to power,” he claimed while exuding confidence that the DMK will be in power for next five consecutive terms. On the issue of minorities in Tamil Nadu, Stalin said that Karunanidhi raised his voice for them even when the DMK was not in power. “There was no single ministerial berth given to Muslims in Jayalalithaa cabinet in 2001-2006. But in 2006, Kalaignar allotted two cabinets to Muslims. Besides, he had done a lot for minorities that include Muslims and Christians,” he said.Earlier, after after arriving from Chennai by flight on Thursday morning, he went to the residence of Indian Union Muslim League president KM Kader Mohideen and inquired about the health of his wife who is unwell.
