Man held for running prostitution ring in Trichy

TRICHY: The Trichy police on Tuesday arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly running a prostitution ring and rescued two women The accused has been identified as S Rajasekar, hailing from Anaicut village in Vellore district.According to the police, the prostitution ring was being run in a rented house in Ponmalaipatti. The accused allegedly confessed to running the prostitution ring. The two women, who were rescued, were sent to government protection home in Trichy. He had made two women, who were from poor families, engage in prostitution.Rajasekar was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. M Chandrasekar of Ponmalaipatti filed a complaint with the police about the alleged prostitution ring, following which the case was registered.The police said Chandrasekar, who was standing in a street in Ponmalai on Tuesday, was allegedly approached by a person soliciting him.A police team, which was sent to bust the prostitution ring, questioned Rajasekar based on the identification given by Chandrasekar.
