Two chains snatched from 65-year-old woman

The two gold chains weighed total seven sovereigns worth Rs 70,000.On September 13, miscreants snatched four sovereigns of gold chain in Melaadvaiyavalanjan Street in Srirangam from a BSNL employee, V Chithra from Melur while on September 9, thieves snatched a 2.5 sovereigns of gold chain in North Andar Street from a 62-year-old-woman. The accused fled the scene with the jewellery.The woman lodged a complaint with the Srirangam police on Sunday.
