TRICHY: Burglars struck at two houses in Trichy and decamped with around 46 sovereigns of gold jewellery.On Sunday morning, J Rethin Jagadeesh, 26, of Murugan Nagar in Edamalaipattipudhur locked his house and left for Cuddalore with his wife. The burglary happened when Srinivasan was in office.The KK Nagar police registered a case. He returned home on Monday morning and found the front door open and 44.5 sovereigns of gold jewellery, worth Rs 4.5 lakh, missing from the house.The Edamalaipattipudhur police registered a case In another case, burglars struck at the house of R Srinivasan, 47, of Prem Nagar near Vadugapatti in KK Nagar on Monday and stole two sovereigns of gold jewellery, worth Rs 20,000.
