IIM-T director bags AIMA-Kewal Nohria award

Trichy: The All India Management Association has honoured Bhimaraya Metri, IIM-Trichy director with AIMA - Kewal Nohria award for Academic Leadership in Management Education. Speaking to TOI over the phone, IIM director Metri expressing happiness over receiving the award said that the award is a recognition to his contribution towards management education in the country, institution building, expansion and taking the institution to the next level. The award was presented to him at an event held in New Delhi on Wednesday. For the second consecutive year, a person from Tamil Nadu has received this award. Last year it was great Lakes founder, dean and chairman Bala V Balachandran.

He is the first serving director to receive this prestigious award.The award was instituted in 2009 in the name of Kewal Nohria, former president of AIMA to encourage academic leadership in the field of management education.This year, Metri was recognized for his outstanding contribution to the academic institution building, his illustrious professional career and academic achievements in the management education. Speaking to TOI over the phone, IIM director Metri expressing happiness over receiving the award said that the award is a recognition to his contribution towards management education in the country, institution building, expansion and taking the institution to the next level.
