Later, the passengers were accommodated in a nearby hotel.On Monday afternoon, airline officials said they were making alternative arrangements to send the stranded passengers to Singapore. The pilot informed the airport terminal and the Air Traffic Control tower about the issue.A technical team from the airlines attempted to rectify the problem. They were made to wait at the airport as engineers were trying to fix the snag. However, the team could not fix it.Following this, the passengers were asked to deplane. TRICHY: A total of 115 passengers have been stranded in Trichy for more than 24 hours after a Singapore-bound Air India Express plane developed a technical snag on Sunday evening.According to airport officials, Air India Express flight AXB 682 which arrived here from Singapore at 3pm was to depart at 4.10pm.As it was preparing to take off with 115 passengers onboard, the pilot noticed a snag in the air-conditioning system.
