Regional parties will uphold states’ rights to dethrone BJP: Stalin

Perambalur: The alliance of regional parties will uphold the rights of the states to dethrone the ‘fascist’ BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, DMK president M K Stalin said in Perambalur on Thursday.“Modi is of no use to the people of India. That’s why we are insisting on uniting all the regional parties to defeat Modi though we have no personal enmity against him. Ironically, he is hardly in the country. But they remain. Like a non-resident Indian, he is a non-resident Prime Minister,” Stalin remarked adding that Modi’s visit to 84 countries so far cost Rs 1,484 crore public money.Stalin also spoke about the controversies of the central government with the Supreme Court, Central Bureau of Investigation and Reserve Bank of India.He also attacked the AIADMK government for being ‘subservient’ to the central government without ‘questioning’ the latter for its intervention in state matters.

On the other hand, we are never ready to give up the rights of the states at any cost,” said Stalin, while referring to the proposed meeting of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu with him on Friday.Stalin was speaking at a public meeting organized by his party to condemn the state and central governments.The DMK president lashed out at the Prime Minister for issues ranging from NEET, release of the seven killers of Rajiv Gandhi, imposition of Hindi and several others.“He (Modi) assured to alleviate famine, corruption, black money, unemployment from the country. But they remain. Ironically, he is hardly in the country.
