TRICHY: The Southern Railway either cancelled or short terminated or diverted some trains services on Friday due to cyclone Gaja that is lashing Tamil Nadu.According to a statement from the Trichy Railway Division, the following six trains have been fully cancelled.No 56115 / 56116 Mayiladuthurai Junction – Thanjavur – Mayiladuthurai passenger, No 56824 Trichy – Mayiladuthurai passenger, No 56871/ 56872 Mayiladuthurai – Tiruvarur – Mayiladuthurai passenger, No 17408 Mannargudi – Tirupati Pamani Express, No 76807/ 76808 Trichy – Manamadurai Junction – Trichy passenger and No 76840 Karaikkudi – Trichy passenger.The following trains have been either short terminated or diverted:No 16232 Mysore – Mayiladuthurai express is short terminated at Thanjavur, No 16188 Ernakulam – Karaikal Express is short terminated at Thanjavur, No 16616 Coimbatore – Mannargudi Express is short terminated at Thanjavur, No 16106 Tiruchendur – Chennai Egmore Express is diverted to run via Trichy, Virudhachalam and Villupuram and No 16796 / 16795 Trichy – Chennai Egmore – Trichy Cholan Express is diverted to run via Trichy, Virudhachalam and Villupuram.
