Students have their say at debate contest

Though a total 85 contestants took part in the debate, including elocution and group discussion, only 10 were selected for the zonal level contest. Trichy: Showcasing their verbal skills and range of knowledge, an enthusiastic band of wannabe orators from city colleges took part in nation’s biggest intercollegiate debate contest at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy on Tuesday.Organised in collaboration with Federal Bank on Tuesday, the Times of India(TOI) initiative to nurture budding talents in the country saw students passionately express their views on a variety of topics concerning development of the country.The idea is to encourage young, dynamic and enthusiastic minds across the nation to raise their voice on pertinent issues and play the role of change maker in society.
