Youth attacks college girl for rejecting his proposal

Trichy: A 25-year-old youth was arrested for attacking a 19-year-old girl after she rejected his love proposal. The girl sustained a minor injury.She was rushed to a private hospital and later shifted to the Mahatma Gandhi memorial government hospital.Police said that the girl was out of danger. The incident took place in Siragambur in Trichy on Thursday.The Vaathalai police arrested R Manish of Sirugambur village for slashing the girl on the neck with a stationery knife and causing injury. Manish was arrested in the evening. He took out the knife and slashed her neck.

She also hails from the same village.Police said that Manish was an unemployed while the girl was studying second year student in a private college in Trichy.Police said that the girl was waiting for the bus, when he approached her and forced her to accept his love.The girl spurned his love making him furious. He took out the knife and slashed her neck. The girl sustained a minor injury.She was rushed to a private hospital and later shifted to the Mahatma Gandhi memorial government hospital.Police said that the girl was out of danger. Manish was arrested in the evening.
