Trichy: AIADMK led alliance is like newly wedded couples who have come together with mutual consent, said health minister C Vijaya Baskar in a meeting in Pudukottai.The comment has come at the time when the opposition is not missing any opportunity to establish AIADMK led alliance as opportunist since parties like PMK that were critical about AIADMK leadership, made an alliance with them.Speaking at an event organized to introduce candidates for AIADMK led alliance in Trichy and Sivagangai parliamentary constituencies, Vijaya Baskar said that parties have come together with mutual consent to form a mega-coalition in the state, he said.He assured that the long pending Cauvery-Vaigai-Kundar river linking project which will solve the water crisis in 7 districts including Pudukottai and Sivagangai. Saying that AIADMK has promised to implement the project in its election manifesto, the minister asked BJP’s national secretary H Raja to push for the project.Speaking at the event Raja said “DMK leader MK Stalin has become anxious after seeing AIADMK led alliance and criticizing PMK leader Ramadoss in haste.” He questioned Stalin on forming an alliance with MDMK leader Vaiko who had severely criticized former CM and his father M Karunanidhi. DMK is an evil force and will vanish after the ensuing general elections, he said.V Elangovan from DMDK, also the candidate for Trichy parliamentary constituency in AIADMK alliance, said that the alliance is formed to ensure that Narendra Modi becomes prime minister again.
