Two injured after youth rams bike into another

Trichy: A youth on an unregistered high-end sports bike put the lives of two motorists including a woman in danger by ramming their moped. Police said that A Caroline, 49, who was riding pillion sustained serious injury, while S Vincent, who was riding the vehicle sustained fracture on his right leg. Police said the duo noticed a speeding bike proceeding towards them and tried to prevent them from being hit. The incident took place near central bus stand in Trichy on Friday night.The biker was identified as K Jefti, 21, from Senthanneerpuram. But, the vehicle crashed into them throwing them on the road.The Traffic south investigation wing took up the case and caught Jefti following a complaint filed by Caroline.Sub-inspector of police Rajendran said on Friday that the youth, a college student was riding the bike in a zigzag manner causing panic among other motorists and ended up injuring the two.
