A peacock that fell into a well in the Pudukottai Collectorate campus being rescued by a firefighter on Monday. A peacock which fell into a well on the Pudukottai Collectorate campus on Monday was rescued by a team of firefighters. One of them was sent inside the well through a ladder and he rescued the bird. Acting on an alert from the Collectorate, the firefighters went to the spot. The bird had accidentally fallen in the morning hours into the well which had water up to some feet.
