2 jawans among 5 dead in Udaipur accident

They were identified as Dileep Kumar (35), a resident of Sirohi Road, Pindwara, and Magan Lohar (50), a resident of Sirohi, said police.The trailer did not stop even after the back tyres came off. Two people inside the car were killed.

Trailer caught fire after accident UDAIPUR: Five men, including two jawans of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), were killed in a collision between a trailer-truck and a car near Malwa-Ka-Choura PHC under Bekariya police station limits on Udaipur-Pindwara National Highway-76 on Monday morning.The rescue team said the accident took place at 11 am when a trailer hit the CRPF truck from behind, probably due to a brake failure, when the two vehicles were heading towards Pindwara. The collision was so intense that the CRPF truck driver lost control over the vehicle, which crashed into the road divider and fell in a dry river some 25 feet below the bridge.The CRPF jawan driving the truck was identified as Jai Singh Beharwal (43), a resident of Alipura in Haryana, while his colleague was identified as M P Beharwal (47), a resident of Piyawada in Maharashtra, police said. Deputy SP Sunit Sharma and SDO Mahipal Singh were at the spot till late, supervising the rescue operation and clearing the mess on the road.The trailer too lost control after hitting the CRPF truck and got onto the other side of the road. A car coming from the opposite direction crashed into the trailer. Two people inside the car were killed. The car body was completely crushed, while the roof of the CRPF truck had blown away after the crash.The trailer driver Narendra Singh (33), a resident of Mandalgarh, died on the spot, while his assistant Banshilal Bhil (22) suffered serious injuries.
