North western railways starts E-catering at 25 major stations

JAIPUR: In order to facilitate passengers in opting variety of cuisines during their respective journeys north western railways (NWR) have started e-catering facility at its 25 major stations. For this they need to just type their meal followed by their PNR number and can send it to 139. They can also avail this facility through the app and website.”There are four modes through which the facility could be used – website, mobile site, android app and admin panel. Passengers availing this facility would be able to order food of their choice from a wide range of restaurants and food chains while on board.The facility would be available for A-1 class railway stations including Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur and for the A class stations including Bikaner, Aburoad, Bhilwara, Falna, Marwar Junction, Rani, Udaipur, Bhiwani, Hanumangarh, Hisar, Lalgarh, Sriganganagar, Suratgarh, Alwar, Bandikui, Gandhinagar (Jaipur), Phulera, Rewari, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Nagaur and Pali Marwar.Tarun Jain, chief public relations officer on Monday said, “With this facility the passengers would be able to book food of their choice.
