Udaipur: An 18-year old boy allegedly killed his mother and went missing after leaving a suicide-cum-confession note on the social media in Banswara city. The incident came as a big shock for the residents when the woman's body was found on Monday morning.According to police, one Vivek Panchal, son of Kantilal in Khandu Colony, killed his mother Dev Kanya brutally past Sunday midnight after a quarrel over some matter. Vivek is the deceased’s younger son, who worked with his father in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. His elder brother worked in Kuwait. Vivek had been wanting to join his brother."Keeping in view the message posted on social media, the boy (Vivek) is our primary suspect in the murder of Dev Kanya, though anything can be ascertained only after we find him or his body. No one else was in the house other than the woman and her son," said Dileep Dan, SHO of Kotwali police station.Vivek had come home few days back for the Ganesh puja holidays and on Sunday had gone with his friends to attend the idol immersion procession. When he returned home late, his mother rebuked him and both of them had a heated conversation that led to the boy killing his mother.Around 12.30 am on Sunday night, he posted a message in his community's WhatsApp group wherein he confessed his crime and said that he too was going to end his life, said police. Vivek asked people to find his body from the Geman bridge the next day, that is Monday.Most of the group members did not see the message as it was too late. However, when they saw it in the morning, the police was informed.The police found the woman’s body lying in a pool of blood at her house in Khandu colony in Banswara. The accused had hit the woman hard on her head and her face too was distorted, said police. There were blood stains on the walls, which indicated that the killing had been brutal. Police have registered a murder case and have begun a search for the accused Vivek.
