Two BJP ministers, two Congress legislators file nominations

On the other hand, 14 BJP candidates have filed 29 sets of nominations on Thursday. In past four days 269 candidates have filed 344 sets of nominations in Rajasthan.On Thursday, 12 Congress candidates have filed 16 sets of nominations, taking their tally of total candidates to 30 and nominations to 41. Alka Singh is presently the BJP MLA from Bandikui and Diya Kumari is the MLA from Sawai Madhopur. The last date for filing of nominations is November 19.Interestingly, Fateh Singh Gurjar from Bandikui and Chaetan Kumar from Sawai Madhopur have filed their nominations as BJP candidates despite the ruling party not having declared its candidates on these seats. Diya Kumari, who is the member of Jaipur’s erstwhile royal family, has already made a statement that if she contests the forthcoming elections, it would be from Sawai Madhopur.As her candidature has been withheld by the party and with Chaetan Kumar filing his nomination as the BJP candidate, the suspense over Diya Kumari contesting the polls has deepened.The list also include six candidates from Communist Party of India (CPI-M), five from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), seven from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and four from Janata Dal (United) candidates have also filed their nominations on Thursday.The BJP MLAs who have filed nominations include Ram Lal Sharma (Chomu), Arun Chaturvedi (Civil Lines), Ajit Singh (Tonk), Phool Singh Meena (Udaipur rural), Gulab Chand Kataria (Udaipur), Chandra Bhan Singh Chauhan (Chittorgarh), Pratap Singh (Chhabra), Narendra Nagar (Khanpur).The other BJP candidates who have filed nominations are Vikas Choudhary (Kishangarh), Madhav Lal Varahat (Dungarpur), Govind Prasad (Manohar Thana) and Ram Swaroop (Weir).The Congress candidates include Gurmeet Singh (Karapur), Bhawar Singh Bhati (Kolayat), Mahendra Jeet Singh Malviya (Bagidora), Mansingh (Taranagar), Rameshawar Prashad Sharma (Sanganer), Mahendra Kumar Meena (Bassi), Ram Swaroop Jayswal (Dausa), Satyanarayan Singhal (Gangapur), Rameshwar Mewara (Beawar), Udairam (Sumerpur), Mahendra Jeet Singh Malviya (Bagidora), Pramod Jain (Anta), Ramlal (Pratapgarh).
