Jaipur: Mercury continued to dip across the state on Sunday when many places in the state witnessed minimum temperatures below the normal notch. Udaipur remained coldest in the state where a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius was recorded, the Met reports said. Attributing the climatic change to the active northerly winds, the Jaipur Met office said that the mercury will further dip across the state in the next couple of days.Jaipurites woke up to a comparatively chilly morning as a minimum temperature of 14.1 degrees Celsius was recorded. During the morning hours chilly winds were witnessed and people coming for morning walk were seen in their woollens. However, early morning fog and mist affected the road traffic on the Jaipur-Sikar and Jaipur-Dausa route. The air traffic was mostly smooth from the Jaipur airport.Udaipur was followed by Churu where a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius, Sriganganagar 12, Pilani 12.9, Jodhpur 13.1, Kota and Ajmer 13.7 degrees Celsius each, Bikaner 16.5, Barmer 17.6 and a minimum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jaisalmer.In its forecast the Jaipur Met office said that cold wave conditions will aggravate especially in the western parts of the state. However, in Jaipur there is not going to be drastic dip in the mercury in the next 24 hours.
