JAIPUR: With the active western disturbances cloudy conditions and added humidity guided the mercury to take an upward swing. Several places in the state witnessed a rise in their minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday. Jaipur Met office said that there could be a rise of two to three degree Celsius in day and night temperatures for the next couple of days. Udaipur remained coldest in the state where a maximum temperature of 10 degree Celsius was recorded.Jaipurities woke up to a comparatively warmer morning as a minimum temperature of 15.3 degree Celsius, almost four degrees above the normal notch was recorded. It was followed by a comparatively warmer afternoon as a maximum temperature of 27.8 degree Celsius was recorded. Other places in the state also recorded minimum temperatures varying from 12 to 15 degree Celsius. Attributing the climatic change to the western disturbances Jaipur Met office said that temperatures will show rising trend for the next 24 hours.Udaipur was followed by Churu with a minimum temperature of 10.6 degree Celsius, Pilani 11.6, Sriganganagar 12.4, Kota 13.6, Ajmer and Jodhpur with 14 degree Celsius each, Jaisalmer 17.5 and a minimum temperature of 17.8 degree Celsius was recorded in Barmer.
