No free parking at city railway station anymore

The parking charges for autos are same at Nadiad railway station also.Taxis parked for up to three hours will have to pay Rs 20 while those beyond three hours but up to six hours will have to pay Rs 30, those beyond six hours and up to 12 hours will have to pay Rs 35 and beyond 12 hours and up to 24 hours will have to pay Rs 40.At Nadiad railway station, the taxi charges are Rs 10 for three hours, Rs 15 between three to six hours and Rs 20 between six and 12 hours.The parking charges from minibus starts from Rs 40 to Rs 100 while those for tempos ranges from Rs 15 to Rs 30 at Vadodara railway station. Vadodara: The Vadodara railway division has introduced parking charges for ricksahws, taxis, private cars and other commercial vehicles using the parking facilities in railway premises at Vadodara and Nadiad railway stations.According to the railway division, it has issued contract for the auto/taxi parking lanes at the eastern side of Vadodara and Nadiad railway stations in the first phase and will gradually roll out such charges at other railway stations falling in the division where there is a dearth of parking space.“The move has been initiated as a result of new policy introduced by the Railway board and is a part of broader perspective to leverage revenue from railway assets as part of non-fare revenue generation and to provide better amenities to the travelling public,” said an official of the Vadodara railway division.Accordingly, private cars parked in the taxi lane at Vadodara railway station will have to pay Rs 60 for parking up to four hours, Rs 90 for parking between four to eight hours and Rs 140 between eight and 24 hours.The parking charges for auto are Rs 10 for up to two hours, Rs 15 between two hours and six hours and Rs 20 beyond six hours and up to 12 hours.
