Eleven become CMAs, 28 clear intermediate exams

In the intermediate exam for Group I, 18 out of 124 cleared their exam while four out of 30 cleared their exam in Group II. Not a single out of 13 students who had appeared in the exams for both the groups could cleared the exam. Only one student of the 13 who had appeared cleared the exam in both the groups.In the new syllabus, 21 out of 27 students their foundation exams. In final held for new syllabus, two out of 43 students cleared their exam in Group III while eight out of 15 cleared their exam in Group IV. In Group II, of the 32, 11 cleared the exams.

Vadodara: Eleven students from the city have qualified to become cost and management accountants (CMAs) while 28 others have cleared their intermediate examinations as the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) have declared results of its foundation, intermediate and final stages of examinations which were held in December last year.Last year, 15 students from the city had become CMAs. “But the total number of students who have passed the foundation, intermediate and final stages of the examinations stand at 111, which is the highest number of students clearing the examinations in the last three years,” said Mihir Vyas, vice chairman of the Baroda chapter of ICAI, which felicitated successful students on Friday.“This time, the results were announced based on the exams which were taken for students appearing in both the syllabus of 2012 and syllabus of 2016,” he said.Of the total 48 students who had appeared in Group I in intermediate exams conducted in the old syllabus, four students cleared. In Group II, of the 32, 11 cleared the exams. Four students out of 15 cleared the exams in both the groups.Similarly, in CMA final held for the old syllabus, of the 51 students who had appeared in Group III only one cleared the exam while of the 36 students, 12 cleared the exams in Group IV. Only one student of the 13 who had appeared cleared the exam in both the groups.In the new syllabus, 21 out of 27 students their foundation exams.
