Vadodara: In a major departure from its existing admission policy, M S University might do away with group discussions (GDs) and personal interviews (PI) that are held as part of entrance test process for many courses offered by the university. On Friday, MSU’s syndicate members constituted a committee which they said has been formed “for transparency in admission procedures”.According to syndicate member Jigar Inamdar, a majority of syndicate members felt that admissions should be done only through merit or written tests in all the programmes that the university offers.“Most of the time allegations and counter allegations regarding manipulation in the entrance exams surface due to GDs and PIs.
