Five of gang stealing bikes held from Savli

Police found five stolen bikes and spare parts from the five thieves. After their arrests, the trio admitted of stealing nine other bikes from Umreth in Anand, Kalol in Panchmahal, Dakor, Lanchhanpura in Savli, Godhra, Thasra in Kheda and Nadiad.On the other hand, Mazhar and Javed told the police that they used to dissemble the stolen bikes and sell its spare parts. Police said that of the five accused, Kalpesh, Nitin and Raju were the bike thieves, while Mazhar and Javed bought stolen bikes from the trio.According to police, the accused had met at Savli-Poicha chowkdi to trade two bikes which Kalpesh had stolen in Dakor recently. A police official said that they used to target vehicles parked near hospitals, banks and cinema halls.
