After the price was fixed, Shukla shared his bank account number through message. Noronha deposited Rs 1,000 in Shukla’s bank account on June 29 and he was supposed to pay the remaining amount at the time of delivery.On July 5, a courier services delivered Noronha’s parcel and he paid remaining Rs 14,500 to the deliveryman. But when he opened the parcel, he found that Shukla had sent him another mobile phone which was not in working condition.Noronha then tried to contact Shukla but his phone remained switched off.A police official said that they are trying to track down the accused on the basis of his mobile phone number and his bank account. Vadodara: A gym trainer living in Fatehgunj was conned by a man from the city through an online marketplace platform.Victim Joseph Noronha, who works as a trainer in a gym on Old Padra Road, showed interest in buying a smart phone on an online marketplace platform last month.Police said that Noronha contacted the seller Anuj Shukla through the online platform and decided to buy the phone for Rs 15,500.Before deciding the price, Noronha and Shukla remained in touch through calls and messages for negotiation.
