Vadodara: A resident of Jodhpur, who was travelling to Mumbai in Dehradun Express train, took ill and had to be shifted to a hospital in Godhra after he consumed food in the train.Sunil Shukla was travelling in train’s S7 coach to meet his brother who lives in Mumbai. Sources said that Shukla had started complaining of sickness after the train crossed Dahod railway station. Railway officials said that the ticket examiner attended to Shukla as his health deteriorated. When the train reached Godhra railway station around 6.15pm, the railway police force personnel helped him alight and he was taken to Godhra civil hospital.Later he was taken to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Hospital authorities informed Shukla’s brother in Mumbai about his health. During the examination, sources at the hospital said that Shukla told the doctor that he had consumed a cake which he had bought from a vendor following which he started feeling sick.Officials of Vadodara railway division said that there is no pantry car in Dehradun Express train and Shukla must have bought the food from a vendor. However, whether it was a railway authorized vendor was not known.
