Man accuses estranged wife of forgery

Vadodara: A professional registered a complaint of forgery against his estranged wife at Harni police station after she transferred his scooter in her name by forging his signature.Complainant Chetankumar Vaghasiya, who lived near Amitnagar Circle with his wife Dimple for two years until August 2017, told the police that she went to RTO here and got the scooter transferred in her name by forging his signature on all papers. In August last year, Vaghasiya moved to Dhoraji, while Dimple continued to work here.A month later, she moved to her parents’ house in Surat with all the belongings including the scooter and a bike which was owned by Vaghasiya. Police said that the accused woman, after registering the case in Surat, approached the Vadodara RTO and got the scooter transferred.Later in June this year when Vaghasiya checked the status of vehicles online, he learnt that Dimple’s name appeared as the owner of vehicle. Vaghasiya then filed an RTI application at RTO to know when the owner was changed, he was informed that it was done in February.Parmar had submitted an application to register a complaint at Harni police station, on the basis of which the FIR was lodged on Monday.
