Two held with IMFL worth Rs 20L

When the cops checked the truck, the liquor stock was found hidden behind plastic bags filled with sawdust.In all 5,064 bottles of liquor were found packed in the truck. The duo was then arrested and taken to DCB police station for questioning.The accused told the police that the liquor stock was dispatched by one Sandeep Singh Sangwan from Bhiwani in Haryana. Vadodara: Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth Rs 20 lakh was seized and two persons arrested by the detection of crime branch (DCB) of city police near Kapurai Chowkdi on National Highway-48 late on Monday night.Accused truck driver Sandeep Dela and cleaner Sandeep Rao were nabbed by DCB sleuths on the basis of specific information. The duo also informed the police that they were asked to deliver the stock at Chiloda in Gandhinagar.Cops said that though the liquor stock was sent from Haryana, the truck in which it was being transported was owned by a person living in Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan.On Tuesday, the duo was presented before a magistrate’s court and they were remanded to police custody till September 14.
