Cops gear up for smooth visarjan at Navlakhi ground

All processions will have to exit from Navlakhi ground through a gate on Akota-Dandiya Bazaar Road.The police have banned all DJ and music systems in the Navlakhi ground. Two entry points of Navlakhi ground have been made for these processions from Rajmahal Road. On the western side, DJs have not been allowed beyond the Akota end of Akota-Dandiya Bazaar Road. For Ganesh processions coming from Dandiya Bazaar and Kothi crossroads, the DJs will be prohibited beyond the Dandiya Bazaar crossroads. Police officials said that the road will be utilized for Ganesh processions from Manjalpur, Makarpura, old city area including the walled city, Navapura, Dandiya Bazaar, Raopura, Nagarwada among others.

Vadodara: As all roads will lead to Navlakhi ground on the last day of Ganesh festivities on September 23, the city police have made arrangements so that the immersions of all idols are done smoothly and citizens also do not face any problem while travelling from one part to another.Police issued a public notification banning entry of vehicles on the roads from where the processions will pass and suggesting alternate routes for these roads.The Akota-Dandiya Bazaar Road will be closed for all vehicles except those carrying Ganesh idols from both ends. Organizers of Ganesh festivities in the western part of the city which includes areas like Akota, Old Padra Road, Gotri, Vasna Road among others will have to take the Akota-Dandiya Bazaar Road to reach Navlakhi ground.The entire Rajmahal Road from Lalbaug bridge till Kuber Bhavan will be closed for vehicular movements. Police officials said that the road will be utilized for Ganesh processions from Manjalpur, Makarpura, old city area including the walled city, Navapura, Dandiya Bazaar, Raopura, Nagarwada among others.
